Upon returning to South Africa in the late 1970s, Thomas met the love of his life, Laura Williams. They married in 1972 and built a beautiful life together. The couple was blessed with three children: David, born in 1973, who followed in his father’s entrepreneurial footsteps; Elizabeth, born in 1975, who became a dedicated teacher and a mother of two; and Michael, born in 1978, who pursued a career in medicine.
Thomas was a devoted father, always prioritizing his family. He instilled in his children the values of integrity, kindness, and a relentless thirst for knowledge. Family gatherings were filled with laughter, love, and stories of his many adventures, which he shared with his children and later with his grandchildren, Sarah and James.
